Disclaimer
I've read the article Driving the Citrix Receiver Self-Service Plug-in Programmatically at https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX200337 and following that guidance, created a small PowerShell script that will create a desktop shortcuts for a specific Citrix resource on a corporate Windows machine. The script works great on a corporate Windows machine and it should work just as well on a non-corporate Windows machine; assuming of course the customer allows me to access their personal machine in order to execute the script. However, the majority of our Citrix users use Macs and while it is possible to install PowerShell on macOS, that doesn't seem like the best approach for this.
How does one go about creating a desktop shortcut on a Mac to launch a specific Citrix resource?
For Mac & Windows:

- Is there a function built into Citrix Workspace that will create or add a shortcut somewhere to a specific resource?
- Is there a way to offer a 'shortcut download' from StoreFront to a specific resource?
